Our staff are exceptional in their care of our residents. Staff are trained to provide high standards of care, and go about their duties with compassion, ever mindful of according residents, respect, privacy and upholding their dignity always. They are on hand to encourage independence while still assisting with personal care as needed. Staff are dedicated to ensuring our residents live a full and active life while at Parklands. Person centred care is central to the care we deliver at Parklands.
All staff are trained in dementia care and understand the social and emotional needs of residents living with dementia, as well as the emotional support for the family.
Each resident is allocated a key worker who will look after the resident and answer any queries or anxieties, residents or relatives may have. Residents are registered with the Home’s local surgery, unless they prefer to stay with their own surgery. Doctor’s rounds are weekly or when the need for a GP arises. The Home works with other professionals such District Nurses, Incontinence nurse and social workers to ensure our residents’ needs are taken care of. A chiropodist attends weekly as does a hairdresser.

Veronica Pereira
Veronica has 9 years of experience working in the Worcestershire area as a Care Manager. Veronica has been caring for the elderly and dementia residents at Parklands daily and is very much a “hands-on” Manager, working with an excellent team of Care staff.
She has a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care and is well aware of the new regulations of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and, more recently, the new Care Quality Commission Assessment Framework.
Team LEADER
Simon Smith
Simon has over 10 years of experience caring for the residents at Parklands, and as the Team Leader, he engages well with the carers, domestic and kitchen staff.
The residents love his friendly and caring approach. Simon also assists in looking after the health and safety procedures around the home.

Ruth Howells
Ruth had a number of years of experience within the Care Sector before she joined us at Parklands a few years ago. She not only looks after the finances but will become involved in engaging with the residents and their families.
